Winter Park, Colorado: little ski town, big events. The town boasts 250 days of sunshine and August 5 is your opportunity to catch some rays and sip some suds. Next Saturday, thousands of beer lovers will descend into the Fraser Valley, flocking to Hideaway Park in Downtown Winter Park for the highly anticipated annual Winter Park Beer Festival.
The production keeps beer enthusiasts, music lovers, and good-timers coming back for more. 2017 marks the 8th annual Winter Park Beer Festival, with one exciting change this year – the brand spankin’new $3.3 million dollar stage at Hideaway Park is finally finished and ready for action. The town of Winter Park collaborated with renowned designer, Semple Brown, to create a community-oriented masterpiece. “Designed to reflect the modern identity and character of one of Colorado’s favorite mountain communities, the eye-catching stage evokes the natural imagery of the snow sports and mountain terrain that surround the Town of Winter Park and Fraser Valley.”
With more than 45 local, regional and national breweries signed up to pour, no one will be going home thirsty. Especially with these $30 unlimited tasting tickets.
Festival goers can enjoy a variety of their favorite local beers and also explore new breweries venturing from Oregon, Illinois, Michigan and California.
You can bet Winter Park’s two local breweries, Hideaway Park Brewery and The Peak Brewery will be in attendance. Sam from Hideaway Park Brewery is excited to share their wide selection of brews with the crowd. This year, visitors can enjoy a Blood Orange IPA, Barrel Aged Scotch Ale, or their famous rotating Nitro beer.
Aside from dozens of beer tents and local restaurants, attendees can peruse an eclectic selection of vendors peddling an assortment of goods; including a wide variety of Colorado-branded paraphernalia.
There will be live music on the main stage from 12 pm – 5 pm and a special Sapporo sponsored karaoke stage for those who have built up the liquid courage to perform. To relax and enjoy the entertainment, guests are encouraged to take advantage of the camp chairs provided for free by the venue.
Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to two wonderful causes – The Grand Foundation and Samantha Remington Angel Heart Foundation.
Not 21? Don’t drink? No problem. Tickets range from $15 to $70, depending on your reason for attending, there is an option for everyone.
Nearby restaurants and bars will hold weekend specials for festival goers. Winter Park Pub is excited to host the official after party, featuring drink specials and even more live music for festival attendees to enjoy.
Winter Park Beer Festival will go from 12:00 pm (first entry for VIP ticket holders) to 5:00 pm, with last beer call at 4:30 pm.
